This entire conversation will look foolish a few weeks from now.
So the covered call is less risky than the put which is what I have been saying all along!
The Captain
Sorry, I was thinking of purchases, not sells.
Exactly how many of these do you expect to encounter in normal driving?
You mean like the silvery tractor trailer that was highly reflective and FSD could not see with its cameras and it ran into? Its going to be hilarious once a FSD vehicle hits a polished CyberTruck because no LIDAR.
The negative sentiment of consumers isnāt political. A lot of people are repelled by repulsive behavior. Go figureā¦
I think thereās a stronger case to be made that politics is destroying this company.
I think you missed my point. Less risky TO THE BROKERAGE because they hold more ācollateralā. The risk to the investor is a different thing.
Probably not many. At least until road runners learn how to take advantage of AI robots
Mike
Iām going to think this through before replying. Just how does a loss affect investor and broker. My mind is on something else at the moment.
The Captain
How many generations of FSD ago was that?
Well Tesla does sell insurance!!!
No repairs made, no payout to the repair shopāso no payment.
To answer the question posed in the thread title, no, I donāt think TSLA will hit $325 by May 16.
I do think thereās a chance of it hitting $16 by May 325th. (Thatās roughly a year from now).
A little follow up to Tesla and painted walls. And a bit of evidence that this might be hardware and software dependent.
Mark Rober Debunked - You canāt fool a HW4 Tesla using FSD!
āPeter
That was great Peter. So HW3 will have to be upgraded to HW4 in order for FSD to work. Now I wonder if the upgrade will be free or not. I am thinking not.
I have no idea if Tesla will provide free upgrades to HW3 owners.
But it is important to note that no LIDAR was needed to detect the painted wall.
The ābetterā HW4 consists of more processing power, somewhat better cameras and, of course different software.
Mike
But it still needs HW4 in order to work. I do not think they will claim that HW3 will be able to do FSD or they would not have upgraded to HW4. Maybe they will upgrade the hardware on HW3 or give them back their money?
We donāt know that for sure. For a while they were doing HW4 models, then optimizing the models more to get them to fit into the lower memory and compute space in HW3 and releasing on HW3. Donāt know if they are still doing this or if they have reached some other limit.
Mike
Iām going with $225 by May 16, or lower.
It could go higher if somehow someone arranges a beautiful deal for the federal government to go on a Tesla buying spree.
Would that still be free market?
