Who is using Passkeys?

Are any/most/all of you Fools using Passkeys? I have not yet ventured into that option. I use 1 Password to store my passwords on my Apple Devices, including MBPro, an iPadAir, and Smart Watch. Some sites are asking for a Passkey - do I want one? I’m not sure…I’d like some feedback from those of you who are using them - i.e., what are the advantages/disadvantages of setting these up for the sites that use them. Thanks

I finally got a Passkey for Google. The last time I looked there were very few places I use that had the Passkey system.

For me 1Password is about more then just log-ins. I use the Documents, Passport, Wi-Fi, and Software License functions.

Also my spouse and I share most accounts and on-line stuff. The 1Password Family subscription matches our needs almost like a hand and glove.

Somehow I have one on Amazon, I’ m used to getting the 2step verification and an OTP one time code however I don’t think I asked for a passkey- grrrr

My guess is you do not have a passkey, but rather have had Safari saw you login information in Apple’s Passwords app.

Google Delete Passkey and you will see how to delete a Passkey.

From a few years ago, a long thread on passwords, managers…
