Why Does the US Fear BRICS?

Over the past decade, BRICS has swelled from four to 10 members, including Indonesia, which joined in January. Saudi Arabia is listed as a member but has yet to confirm its status. The bloc also has nine partner countries, while dozens of others are lining up to join.

“Trump has a reason to worry,” Alicia Garcia-Herrero, a senior fellow at the Brussels-based think tank Bruegel, told DW. "The BRICS is very clearly anti-Western. Part of its mantra is to change the global order."

A little competition is good for the US and the West. Let’s hope it’s friendly competition!!

“Dues”? Do you mean “Does”?

And what does “BRICS” mean?

On the first, I assume ‘yes’ otherwise the sentence does not read well (or make sense).

On the second, this may help: BRICS - Wikipedia

BRICS formed because the G7 excluded China, India and Brazil.

Now BRICS is growing faster and is bigger than original G7. Since then, G7 morphed into G8 and now there is G20.

BRICS may bypass the US $. This is unlikely to happen but if US continues to print money and run huge deficits, anything can happen.

Trump is not afraid of the BRICs. He is asserting power in the jingoistic way of the 1800s and half of the 1900s.

We need to grow the economy to have power. He is destroying the economy.

Stupido.
