… because that’s what the data shows.

I’m not going to waste time on a video that blames everything on one person, but looking at the above graphic it shows union membership declining from “REAGAN”. Union membership in the US reached its peak back in 1954 – when Ronald Reagan was active in union leadership (the Screen Actors Guild) and had just made Cattle Queen of Montana.

That cannot be a good movie.
Completely useless trivia:
When Marty McFly heads back in time to Hill Valley, that’s the picture playing at the movie theater.
It’s not, but I’m guessing it’s better than the video in the OP.

As a percentage, yes 1954 is right, but as the number of members it peaked in 1979 with 21+ million members then fell from there.
Nobody disputes (ahem. Almost nobody) that Reagan’s firing of the air traffic controllers changed the entire calculation about the worth of union membership and accelerated the decline of that institution in the country.
The reviews were mixed between medium bad to bad.
Fun fact, Cattle Queen of Montana was the last movie Reagan watched during his presidency. Watching a mediocre movie that you starred in less than a week before you leave office? I’ve known dudes who’d do stuff like that. None of them were good people, nor good presidents.
Why watch it and disagree, when you can refuse to watch it? Pretty much sums up our current political dystopia…
You sir, win TMF for the day.
Yes, the data certainly shows that but our generation the boomers ate it up in time. We padded our pockets so we thought. We put country second as a generation.
