Would You Like Fries With That?

(If you are planning a career as a bartender, short order cook or janitor you might want to think again.)

Robots are helping to minimize human contact among people who are attending the Winter Olympics in Beijing. Robots are mixing drinks, preparing food, brewing coffee, creating souvenirs, mopping floors, and more, according to China’s state news agency.

The robot, which looks like a big arm, pours liquids from bottles hanging overhead, shakes mixtures with gusto, and then pours the finished concoctions into glasses for thirsty journalists.

Other robots there and in other locations prepare food orders for members of the media, athletes, officials, and other workers, who can order via mobile app.

In some dining areas, robots drop down from ceilings and deliver food to tables.

Robots are also grinding beans and brewing pots of coffee, scooping and serving ice cream, creating calligraphy posters, and sweeping and mopping floors, according to reports.

The Wendy’s near me, that I have commented about before, seems to have finally scraped together enough people to approach a normal operations schedule. I received a stack of coupons in the mail a couple weeks ago, so have patronized that store both after 3pm and on Sunday.

My friend owns this Italian Eatery in the neighboring town. The hours that they are open are posted on the website here → https://pizzaiolo44.com/#home

He contacted me a few weeks ago about where he might be able to purchase group health insurance as an incentive to hire and keep good help. Unfortunately, he’s still struggling and now has to close on Mondays as he does not have enough help.

We need more robots, or more high school and college kids that really want to work for a paycheck.

A big problem is actually wanting full time job and only being offered part time. Benefits like healthcare are likely to help your friend get employees.

Our son finally got his professional job, just over a year after graduating from college. Our neighbor’s kid is still stuck working part time at Chick Filet, using the rest of her time to send out resumes. It’s well documented that if possible, large corporations would rather give higher pay or bonuses to avoid increasing full time workers.

Wife and I did the urine and blood sample donation this morning early before seeing our family doc soon. The still recent online booking system is brilliant vs the old show up and stand in line forever. We were in and out so quick we decided to stop at Burger King for the “biggy breakfast” on the way home. We showed our triple vaxxed card and were the only ones seated at the tables. The drive through was operating but not lined up. Our local Wendy’s doesn’t do breakfast.
