Democrats popularity is in the toilet. Americans are smart. Voters don’t like being called fascists and racists.
They don’t like Ukraine war, Open borders/Illelgal migration, Corruption, Transgender bathrooms, DEI and other nonsense. DOGE is here.

I agree. The Republicans did a sales job on the low IQ American voters who bought Trump’s propaganda. Now these same people are suffering and regretting their vote for Trump.
If you like reality then you understand just ‘some’ americans voted for T and half of congress is democrats; so clearly they didn’t cancel the Democratic party en masse.
You can get angry, even scold at a person, but you cannot demean a person. When you do that, you will never get them to see your view point. Don’t call someone a low IQ because they didn’t vote like you. A significant number of crypto, silicon valley VC’s voted to Trump. They are very high IQ, highly educated, smart people.
Generally speaking, these are shortsighted people with little understanding history, voting in their own self interest with little regard for society or even democracy. They may score well on a math test, but when it comes to “understanding” I would give most of them a failing grade.
Just another demeaning attempt. Many of them grew up in middle class or below, very well educated, started successful companies, made money and spending a significant portion of their money in philanthropy. If you say they don’t care about society or democracy… you are just letting your inner partisan politics to talk.
Democrats should not forget, the silicon valley is a strong democratic donors. Democrats should do some soul searching, how come we are managing to p!$$ off everyone who supported us? The below is a small sample of what should have been a solid democratic voting bloc, that went Trump way. What are you going to attribute to their motivations?
The largest union in this country didn’t endorse Democratic candidate
Arab-Americans didn’t want to vote for Kamala Harris and sat out, fully knowing it will only help Trump
Listen, I understand what the administration, Musk and Doge are trying to do.
Silicon Valley attracts the brightest mind, who are willing to work 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, because they are getting compensated for that. In Technology, 3 programmers are not same as 1 extraordinarily smart programmer. But that doesn’t extent. There are only so many smart people ( I don’t underestimate government employees or their smartness or all their contributions, or the countless hours they worked without getting compensated for that… personally I think the nation owes them a debt.. Most nations celebrate the tomb of unknown soldier… but the sacrifice of those who are not wearing an uniform is no less). The government salaries are not great, there are no stock options.
Fail fast is the mantra I lived by. Government cannot be run by those rules. I understand what DOGE and Musk is trying to do, but government is not a place for that. You can remove all regulations that doesn’t produce another Musk or a Buffett. Without understanding this basic, simple fact, just purging the departments, is not going to make anything efficient.
Unless, the real agenda is purge all these deepstate, communists and later replace them with patriotic folks…
Not so fast:
71 percent of Jewish voters cast their ballot for Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris. In comparison, only 26 percent voted for Donald Trump.
At the same time, listen to Gavin Newsom respond to Bill Maher:
“Or the notion that we just have to talk to ourselves or we’re in the same damn echo chamber. These guys are crushing us; the Democratic brand is toxic right now.”
I think just the opposite. The economy was doing fine and inflation was way down. We should have stuck with Biden and he likely would have won. There would be no problem with him refusing to debate Trump because all you have to say is “I debated him many times before and I won the election against him.” As evidence I would say that Trump won this time because many Democrats simply didn’t show up to vote. And that’s because they didn’t “know” Harris and never heard of Walz. But they did know Biden and would have given him the benefit of the doubt (“The Republicans are making fake accusations of senility as a campaign tactic”, etc).
On his first debate, I switched off and walked away within 5 minutes, it was horrible, I cannot stand to watch. Biden didn’t win the first time either, Trump lost, i.e., people voted against incumbent, and anyone who could fog the mirror was enough.
When Pelosi forced the issue, democrats were not worried about POTUS, they were worried they will lose badly on down ballot. They survived the down ballot with Kamala. If anyone argues that Biden could have managed another 4 years, they are far away from reality.
Yes, me too. Too painful to watch. I knew he was not the same as four years earlier, but I did not realize how far he had degraded. I blame him, his wife, and the enablers around him who should have realized he was not fit for another campaign, much less another four years. The Democrats might still have lost, even with a robust primary season, because incumbents around the world were losing thanks to the (misguided) blame for inflation, which was everywhere and anywhere a worldwide phenomenon. (It would have been difficult to explain that the US economy weathered the pandemic better than almost any other country because: eggs.)
And with TFG promising anything and everything to everyone (and his unique ability to sell it without being called out on it) I’m not sure any Democrat could have won. “No taxes on tips!” “Crypto for all my friends” “Tax cuts for billionaires” blah blah blah.
