Last year we went to the UK and flew on a British Airways plane. The flight safety announcement was funny and kept our attention. They have a new one now, and it is even better. The oxygen mask announcement is my favorite part.
High production values, but it’s way too long. People can’t focus for 5 minutes anymore.
I flew on Southwest over 20 years ago, back when people could break into song. An ice storm had scrambled their system. There was a mob backed up in the Phoenix airport, some waiting many hours to get out of there, and getting surly. Being just before Christmas, the gate attendant broke into a parody of “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year” to lighten the mood.
Of course, that was a long time ago, before Southworst started pencil whipping maintenance records. Their latest innovation: scrapping their long standing open seating policy, so they can charge more for some seats.

They already figured out how to charge more…upgrading to the higher boarding numbers A15 or higher, then A30 or higher, etc. cost more. And you could pay more for automatic checkin to get lower boarding numbers. And they had several pricing tiers for the same seats based on just a few available to early bookers and whether you could get free ticket changes.

Maybe BA passengers have longer attention spans.
Yea, sad to see the old “Cattle Car” flights become a thing of the past. If I was a betting man I would almost guarantee you that prices will go up.
