A small victory for humans

Lets celebrate management that is willing to admit someone’ bright idea didn’t work.

McDonald’s has made it very difficult to order. No humans at the counter, use the kiosk, which half the time doesn’t work until you press the screen three times, after which you’ve ordered three sandwiches.

Now AI at the drive through which gets about 85% of the orders correct, but only after you shout it at the clown four times.

Meanwhile at Chick Fil-A, growing by leaps and bounds, there are scrubfaced teenagers at every register, polite and prompt, not reading their phones, and using their spare time to walk around and keep the restaurant clean. What could the difference be? (Hint: management)

Chick Fil-A has a far better product.

MBAs have not been allowed to kill Chick Fil-A.

MBAs have purposely made anything MCD as cheap as possible.

Pay the MBAs at MCD more. Obviously.

Put them on the order taking stations until they figure it out. They are paid the starting wage for the teens working those stations. Their pay will not change until they have implemented an order system that is 99% accurate on all orders actually handed/delivered to customers.
