Though I’ve been following this board for several months, this is my first post. I want to thank Saul and the many others for hosting such an insightful, distraction-free board.
My largest holding is TTD. This week at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, during a panel discussion hosted by Jeff Greene of TTD, the Hulu chief said that it is inevitable that Netflix will offer a tier that includes some form of advertising. If this comes to pass, I see this as another big area for TTD’s growth as it moves into what is currently a “walled garden.” Although a Netflix spokesman said that this isn’t in Netflix’s near term plans, it is a possibility as Netflix looks to increase its revenue without greatly expanding its spending on entertainment offerings.
