Apple gives us another update. Do they have an unannounced policy of daily updates? I long for those old days when updates were uncommon except for the xx.1 to tweak things.

Yep- watch, computer, phone - seems like one and all.
I don’t mind the updates, few, if any, generally apply to my use, but it’s a chance to poke around, clean up some stuff..
A weird request by "HP Device Monitor’ wanted to access my external drives, I declined, went on the hunt… I don’t have any HP devices on my system, so it’s a leftover, as it tuned out, buried in the library. Deleted the HP folder, rebooted… One less useless thing, left over from likely a decade ago! Sneaky stuff!
We know, from the Beta threads, that 26.1 is coming, so whatever was in this 26.0.1 must have been important to some users, just part of keeping up…
I did buy an iPhone book for my DW, first book in ages, but sometimes questions come along when neither of us noticed the cause, fix.. Reference material! A lot of older books need to be recycled! Old OS DVDs, too, really… One of these days… Poof!

The update prompting this thread was 26.0.2 which I got 22 hours after installing 26.0.1

After seeing and downloading 18.7, 26 popped up so I just went ahead with it… Now 26.0.1… So 26.1 is still out there in Beta…

No, 16 Pro Max. I just didn’t do the upgrade to 26 . It looked like 26 was to get the AI which I didn’t need. I use perplexity so far…doc

I’ve got a 14 Pro Max. The discussion here got me checking. Prominent was an update to 18.7.1, which I set to update tonight. Less prominent below that was the option to update to 26. I’ll be holding off, at least for a while.
