Another batch of Updates today!

macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 Update
Apple’s Security Updates page says “This update has no published CVE entries”.
At post time, what’s new in the updates for macOS Sonoma not updated for 14.6.1 yet.
It may be the same fix as noted in macOS 13.6.9 below.

macOS Ventura 13.6.9 Update
Apple’s Security Updates page says “This update has no published CVE entries”.
At post time, what’s new in the updates for macOS Ventura not updated for 13.6.9 yet, but software update for 13.6.9 said “This update addresses and issue that prevents enabling or disabling Advanced Data Protection”.
iOS 17.6.1 and iPadOS 17.6.1 Updates

Late reply, but I finally updated my 11" iPad Pro M2 to 17.6.1 and everything went fine.

The excerpt is pretty funny, as it has 10.6 coming three weeks after 10.6.1. Click on it and 10.61 comes just three weeks after 10.6.

On a M1 mini running macOS 13.6.9, software update listed macOS 13.7 as 1.16 GB,
but the actual download was 2.75 GB. (M1 mini Firmware updated to 11881.1.1.)
iOS 17.7 and iPadOS 17.7 Updates

“Software version 18 introduces SharePlay so you can share control of your Apple Music playlist on iPhone or iPad and guests can contribute to what’s playing on HomePod. This update also includes bug fixes and stability improvements.”

Updated iPhone 15 Pro Max to iOS 18.0, Mac M2 Mini to Sequoia OS 15.0 today, Watch 5 apparently is stopped at watchOS 10.6.1, so I/we won’t see 11 until we replace our watches… Soon… (still need to see about the O2 monitor situation)

All went smoothly, have not done my DW’s updates yet…

iPhone mirroring enabled, I can now rearrange the apps on the iPhone from the Mac desktop, much handier…

I broke one of my rules and updated my phone to ios 17.7 last night. Normally I am smarter than that and wait for them to tack on another point one (at least) on the end. I’m going to blame it on getting old, rather than being stupid.

Well, 17.7 was a security fix for iOS… I didn’t have time to mess with the new stuff in 18, so I did the 17.7, as well, but a few hours later went on to 18…

Only had one issue, on my Mac Mini, now in Sequoia OS, it somehow set it so I had to login either after the overnight sleep or simply after the screensaver kicked in, bothersome as I’m the only user, but it had to do with the iPhone Mirroring settings, so found, fixed that… Else, just a walk in the woods, so far!

I just got around to looking at the iOS update articles, and I learned something! My 15 is sattelite SOS capable! There is a Demo test mode, and it works! Good to know!

And, related as there was a Verizon service outage earlier for some…

My DW’s update got complicated… I was trying to add her new Watch 10, but it wanted the update first, so it took some extra waiting to complete the iOS plus then the WatchOS update as well! Patience…
