Even today, AMD is down over 1% on a pretty up day otherwise (though NVIDIA is down slightly today as well).
Intel and AMD are both tracking down. I think it is mostly noise + Interest rate hikes.

Ok, thanks - I really need to remember to look at other similar chip companies, not just my other tech holdings.

There was definitely an AI noise bubble (up) a few weeks ago.IMO there’s been some profit taking, realism.

In the past AMD stock price has been rather volatile as the quarterly earnings announcement approaches. The next quarterly earnings announcement is coming up at the end of July. That coupled with AMD’s earnings being impacted by interest rates might be the reason for the volatility that we are seeing…doc
