I was reading a story in Barron’s today “The Good - and Bad - in Apple, Amazon, and Other Big Tech Earning” today (link below if you have a subscription).
Some interesting points from the article:
Strong growth in advertising revenue was a big theme, as were huge spending plans for artificial intelligence-related capital expenditures.
The good: YouTube advertising revenue surged.
The good: Black Friday and Cyber Monday week sales broke records. Advertising revenue surged.
The good: Meta topped earnings estimates by a mile. The number of ads users saw rose by 6% and the average prices for ads jumped 14%.
