And, Elon is, IMO, quite idealistically naive in some ways.
Elon thought he would be “Mr Musk goes to Washington” and “fixes” things.
Instead, he found that 400+ House n 100 Senators, backed by thousands of devoted staff and millions of lobbyist $, n maybe some voter blocks … And just perhaps organized elon-hate … Create a swamp that mires sausage making into the status quo.

Bet Musk, with all his Billions, didn’t expect to be treated like more Prole expendable meat. From what I see in the Wiki entry, Musk never worked for the typical, ossified, USian company, so probably has never experienced the typical USian “JC” method of “management” before.

I am hearing that the Doge Bros were very surprised by how efficient Government really is. All the lies about Government employees lying around eating bon bons was just a lie. But of course it didn’t help him running around with a chainsaw and people having so much glee that other people, with families, were losing their jobs and being thrown in the streets. A little humility could have gone a long way.

In the Trump vs Elon, I am on team Elon.
I am
- Against illegal immigration and open borders
- For Tariffs and lower trade deficits (Elon does not support this)
- Against the bill. $37 Trillion in debt and $1Trillion in interest is not sustainable.
- For DOGE and against corruption. Need more DOGE not less.
- Pro corporations, lower taxes, lower debt
- Against Woke and DEI
- For smaller government and lower regulations and lower taxes
- Against war and lower defense spending
- Pro environment
- Pro life
- Against violence and pro peaceful protests and freespeech
- Against guns
My biggest issue by far is ending war in Ukraine. There is a very small but > 0 probability this goes nuclear. Nothing else matters.

So if you are against Corruption how do you see Trump getting the plane from Qatar, starting a crypto empire along with his wife, charging people 5 million dollars to meet with him, removing all the anti-bribery laws, giving Palantir access to all our private Data and allowing them to catalog it into one data file on each citizen of the United States, Giving all the Billionaires that gave him money access and contracts in the government, Extorting law firms to give him free services or come under attack by the government, I could go on and on, so if you are against corruption how does that set on your soul.
So how do you reconcile January 6th if you are against violence?

Elon blindly worries about money. He is probably drug free. Would that rumor be cover?
Elon will owe tens of billions in taxes as income taxes or to cash on his shareholdings as capital gains. He can set up a foundation but giving money goes against his convictions. Also if much of it ends up being income taxes a foundation is not cover as far as I know.
