Carnival Corp Recovery

Hello you very wonderful and intelligent people that make up these forums. I sincerely hope you are in good spirits.

I recently was looking at Carnival Corp (NYSE:CCL) it has hit a low that has not been reached since 1996. The cruise business was significantly affected since Covid and the business fundamentals were not looking good. However things seem to be turning around as bookings increase, there is still risks but this could be a good recovery play. However there is also risks we could enter a recession. This does seem a very good buying in price if things recover. I kindly wondered if anyone is watching this stock or has any thoughts on this please, i would be forever grateful and thankful for your opinions on this.

Very best wishes to you and i truly hope you become massively successful in your investing. All the very best to you and hope everything goes wonderful in your life. Take care.

Thank you for your warm wishes, but for me personally, simply putting “OT” (meaning, off topic) at the front of your subject line when your post does not relate to Berkshire Hathaway; and dispensing with the first and last paragraphs would be great. Most of the good people on this board don’t need to be buttered up to answer a question.

I don’t follow Carnival, so I have nothing to add there.

Whoops, I now see that you have posted this on the CCL board and tagged it with Berkshire (and other stocks), causing it to also appear on the Berkshire board. I don’t like that.

The risks I see are $30 Billion in debt, exposure to consumer behavior, Foreign Exchange, Oil prices, and after COVID revenge travel is cooling.

I could not think of a positive business driver. What do you see, other than price going low?

I think we’re talking to a ChatGPT bot. Just check the profile and you’ll see the same canned prompts.

Btw sad to see this new forum is dying. Why is it? Is there a strong interest in starting a BRK-centric forum? (in whatever style we want, old school BBS or whatever). Do you think if we can get some core members from the old forum to share their wisdoms will they come?. Cost-wise I’m thinking $20-50/month to run it. I’m a tech guy and can donate some time to set it up.

All you need is 1 valuable nugget every few years and you will outperform S&P index.
