TidBits is one of the most useful and long lived Mac newsletters. Adam Engst has an article in the latest one that proves why it is so helpful.
Pucks, THANK YOU! the link in that post is the most useful, SIMPLEST, non-adware content I’ve seen in YEARS about that topic specifically. I found 1,362 folders of Mac mail downloads sitting out there, a 4 year old 22GB iphone backup… wow!

Yes, Adam & TidBits has been a valuable resource for many years…
A great collection of controllable cleanup, I found several 'Unsupported" apps that I used AppZapper to delete, so their tentacles also were deleted… And some Apps I hadn’t Opened since 2010… Gone…
One does have to be careful, pay attention, when my oldest brother came into computers, he got busy cleaning things up, well, in the end it killed the OS, so I spent a day, recovering what I could, then reinstalling the System… He was more careful, eventually…
I know I have a lot of duplicate photos, files, but they may be in separate folders for reasons of the time, so just wiping duplicates isn’t a good idea…
Our Mac OS is so accessible, a lot of damage could be done, some are safe to play with, others, not a good idea…
AppZapper is a great utility.
