You talk about Omicron as if it were a single ubiquitous virus with no variation. This is wrong. Although some Omicron sub variants have shown less ability to aggressively affect the lungs, others appear to do so quite efficiently.
This is something that is an unfortunate feature of viral dynamics and evolution. It’s a mistake to assume that evolutionary change inevitably means every subvariant becomes less virulent.
Another nitpicking false claim. Oh brother. I said does not go into the lungs the same way. I did not say does not go into the lungs.
Be nice if you read what was said first and understood why specific words were used.
This almost always happens and even then when Delta bucked the trend it happened as it should. The natural selection begins to save the host for the virus to survive. It has to.
There are times when Whack-A-Mole must go on. It seems at times like large swaths of humanity have been infected with a “stupid virus”. Once infected, the virus cuts off all logical thinking and reasoning, but only on one or two topics. The infection spreads when those who are infected start spouting nonsense and illogic. The only way to keep others from becoming infected is to refute the stupidity early and often.
