FOR 2023, CEO GEORGE KURTZ TOTAL ANNUAL COMPENSATION WAS $36.5 MILLION, WITH STOCK AWARDS OF $33.4 MILLION
George Kurtz, Crowdstrike CEO, was paid $36.5 million in midst of tech recession with all his stockholders losing money. Doesn’t anyone but me see this as not only a very bad look, but outrageous on the face of it?

Saul,
as you are very strict with what counts as „paid“, it’s important to note that almost all of it is stock/stock options.
This years CEO compensation ratio to employees was 177:1. Last year it was at 805:1 for a total of roughly 150mio. So it seems he got much less then last year. Can‘t see anything outrageous there… not to forget that most of compensation for executives is tied to reaching different goals and targets.
Btw. you shouldn‘t own TTD if you don‘t like big compensation packages - if I remember correctly Jeff Green got around 800mio. in 2022 alone.

$36.5 million can be considered peanuts when compared to the compensation package approved for the CEO of a company that you recently bought. The company cannot be discussed here but the pay package was approved by the company’s board in November: $55 BILLION!! Reportedly, it was the largest package in U.S. corporate history.

I guess you guys are right. I just never thought about it until I saw that headline. It’s apparently very normal.
