I have to say, I am curious about what they’ll show and talk about tonight. It’s fairly certain they’ll unveil their proposed cybercab vehicle, and probably some version of an app. But beyond that? Will they really get into the weeds of how close/far they are from actually being able to let FSD drive without human supervision, or what their timeline is? Will they stick to the taxi, or delve into their Optimus or AI efforts as well? Will they announce that the Cybercab will also have a version with human driver controls that will serve as a Model 2?
Tune in to find out, as they say.

I would think that anyone invested in Tesla should be watching. FSD and Opitimus are about the only thongs keeping me invested after the rather large exodus of Musk’s management team.
Either Musk did a terrible job assembling a great team, or he has done a terrible job keeping them. Either way not only can I smell the smoke, I am starting to see the flames.
Musk is genius, so was Tesla. Tesla died broke and in love with a pigeon.

Are you talking about the two Daniels that recently left the company? One was there for 8 years, the other for 12 years. In Silicon Valley, those are lifetimes.

And…not really anything outside of what was certain to be done at the event. They showed the cybercab design and let people ride around in them, and had dancing Optimuses (Optimii?) on stage. But no “Model 2” or Tesla Network App or any discussion of AI efforts (apart from FSD) or any “in the weeds” discussion of how the efforts to move FSD from ADAS to autonomy are going. Other than the RoboVan.
I don’t think too many people came away from the event knowing much more about Tesla’s roadmap for moving these things from where they are now to actually having a functioning robotaxi service.
