Emerson is a leading employer in St. Louis, headquartered in Ferguson, best known for the Michael Brown incident. They have been restructuring selling off some of their traditional business and reinvesting for better growth. This is the latest acquisition, yet to be approved.

Emerson sold their headquarters campus last year and leased it back. We fear that they will decide to move elsewhere costing St. Louis another of its long standing industry leaders–which traditionally have been solid supporters of local activities. Emerson is a major supporter of the Missouri Historical Society in Forest Park.
