Equal employment EO from 1965 revoked by EO

Is this country going to run short of fit, straight, white, men, to work all the jobs?

Perhaps an intelligible report would be in order. Is the 60 yrs old thing being “revoked” some kind of “order” as stated or some kind of “legislation” also as stated. It cannot be both. If it’s legislation then it cannot simply be "revoked. What are they talking about besides how to fool the public and stir up spent carbohydrates that the Public will take zero seconds even trying to guess whether or not they even understand it.

It’s this kind of creative writing that gives people on both sides reason to make all those demeaning comments about “the media.”

Yes, I agree, the original article was confusing.

This is the EO in question. It pertains to employers who perform contracts with the government.

The contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. The contractor will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.

Seems that the EO, calls for merit based employment, with no consideration for the worker’s race, creed, or religion. Seems that is exactly what TNG said he was for, in his speech Monday. But no, now the prohibition on employment discrimination has been repealed…so now discrimination is legal?

As I said, are there enough fit, straight, white, men, to fill all the jobs?

Better written media report.

In nautical parlance, “Ridding the Civil Rights Act of 1964 of barnacles.”

I posted the same link in the OP. The 1965 EO says nothing about DEI or DEIA, or “affirmative action”. The EO he revoked said that government contractors cannot discriminate based on race, religion, or creed, the same things that TNG claims he is in favor of, as he revoked the EO that does what he claims to favor.

For those who haven’t heard DEIA, which TNG also outlawed, the A is for “accessibility”, because making workplace accommodations for handicapped people, like the Gov of Texas, “burdens” the “JCs”. That is why, in the OP, I asked if there are enough fit, straight, white, men, to fill all the jobs.
