I have my dashboard screen turned off. My heat and cooling are all controls on my dashboard. Rav4 XLE Hybrid.

EV is irrelevant.

Some rarely used controls on a screen are fine. But button are safer for things operated on a regular basis.

People want knobs and buttons – not the touch screen. But the knob and buttons cost more.
