Executive order updates

How is that any different for any other criminal? You are aware that most of them did not spend four years in jail - some were just now being charged (takes a long time to identify over 1000 people).

What makes J6 criminals any different than any other violent criminal?

You support pardons for people that assaulted police officers? Many of which have shown zero remorse (i.e. - they most certainly did not get the message - some saying they would do it again).

Perhaps you are correct. We will see in two years - especially if there is any recidivism.

I would say you are correct on everyone except the ones that were violent or found guilty of Sedition. Those type of people never learn because they are engulfed in a mentality of “TRUE” believer.

Don’t be silly. Remember it was promised there would be no need for us to vote again, and to fill that promise he’s going to need these “hostages” by his side in 2028.

Mr. Trump is on record opposing violence. If there is recividism you expect it to be punished severely. Surely they have learned not to invade the capitol.

Mr. Trump has also criticized the protestors who damaged property and went unpunished in several cities. He seems to stand for law and order. We shall see but lets hope those folks got the message too. Peaceful demonstration is ok but violence and looting etc will not be tolerated.

When your own kool-aid drinkers are objecting, you have perhaps gone too far.

Shoot them in the legs…peacefully.

Lafayette Square wasn’t that long ago.

Whether you’re left, right, or in between, let’s not be dishonest. Honesty shouldn’t be political.

This issue as you mention is all else has failed.

The American public has power. The citing of the abuse of power is not to blame as you are framing it.

My citing blame is discussing what is wrong. People need both sides of the discussion.

The demographics I mentioned failed marginally.

At rock bottom the elite just go along with a tax cut.

Hey should the Jews have blamed the Germans right after WW II? Blame can be owned.

Seems the Germans blamed the Jews but I guess it is what side you believe. Look back into the United States history and you will see that each wave of immigrants were blamed for all the ills of the country but they tend to make the country stronger. It wasn’t that long ago that Italians and Irish were the blame of all our problems. Who knows, if more of them immigrate here they may tend to rise to the top again.

Jews blaming the Germans was not violent.

You can not equate the two unless you do not understand your own position.

Your use of blame is that of a child blaming a parent. We are not discussing how children are raised.

Whoa you equated the two. So quit arguing against yourself.

You are the one blaming people. I am just telling you to grow up and accept your responsibility instead of running away.

He’s also on record inciting violence. But as with most issues, he’s on record on both sides (abortion, tik-tok, marriage equality, just to name a few off the top of my head)

I am not running a way.

The issue is our rhetoric. I get that. It was good enough to get within 1.5%. The winner take all makes it look bad.

Demographics is the nature of it. You are not with it enough to see that.

If I have to Blame Latino’s (By the way Latino is the Spanish, Portugal name for male so using the term Latino male really is redundant ) Than I am glad I am not with it.

I think the lame duck president is quite different from the one that wanted to get reelected. We shall see how he does.

There are indeed those who say we have huge prison populations due to mandatory sentences for minor, often non-violent crimes. Long sentences seem not to reduce crime. Perhaps the whole system needs to be reviewed.

?!?

He wasn’t trying to everything he could NOT to be a lame duck.

You are being facetious, right?

Someone that assaulted a police officer is the very definition of violent. Granting them a PARDON is not the same as reducing their sentence or granting them clemency.

I strongly encourage you to educate yourself on just one J6er, David Demsey, who was granted a pardon.

Here is a bit for you:

“Though Dempsey has pled guilty only for his assaults on Detective Nguyen and Sergeant Mastony, his violent assault on other officers defending the Capitol was relentless: swinging pole-like weapons more than 20 times, spraying chemical agents at least three times, hurling objects at officers at least ten times, stomping on the heads of police officers as he perched above them five times, attempting to steal a riot shield and baton, and incessantly hurling threats and insults at police while rallying other rioters to join his onslaught,” prosecutors wrote.

Edit: But, hey, now that he is out, he will likely never offend again, right? Wait, oops:

[he] had previously been charged in 2019 with dousing demonstrators in California with bear spray

But he’ll learn this time, right?

Darn! He was already on parole in 2019!

[Change ‘mama’ to the acronym for make america great again to get the link to work]

But, I hear he will NOW FINALLY learn his lesson, or so I have read.

A slap on the face is an assault. Severity makes a difference.

No, our huge prison population is well known concern. Excessive sentences is a problem especially when mandatory.

Oh geez, I think most reasonable people would agree on non-violent minor drug offenders, not police head stompers.

They say a good prosecutor can indict a ham sandwich. When they decide to throw the book at someone, they can charge them with much with little or no evidence. Just being there is enough.

Its quite likely many from Jan 6 were charged to the max to make an example of them. They have suffered enough.

What do you bet they will vote for Trump and his allies?
