I just perused a Denver local news channel’s website. It’s there, but you have to search it out.

I’m glad I went looking! I also learned that the 90-year-old crocodile from Crocodile Dundee just died in an Australian aquarium…

Welp, posting violent images and videos should be flagged. Let me help this along. Fuckity f^ck, f☆ck, f¿ck!

The BBC news broadcast I watch shows video reports, with a headline rollup, at the bottom of the screen. Tonight, a headline about the suspect in the subway murder was in the rollup, on the BBC, originating from Singapore. That story made it halfway around the world. But the CBS “news” tonight? Not a word.

Actually it seems he was deported during Trump’s watch. When he came back is not exactly clear…

“Federal immigration officials said he was an undocumented immigrant from Guatemala who had been deported in 2018, only to illegally return to the United States. The address he gave the police after his arrest was a homeless shelter in Brooklyn for men with drug problems.”

“ The US Border Patrol encountered Zapeta-Calil in Sonoita, Arizona, on June 1, 2018, issuing him an expedited removal order. He was sent back to Guatemala six days later, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesperson Jeff Carter. Zapeta-Calil later reentered the US unlawfully at an unknown date and location, officials said.”

They did the correct thing but still failed to keep him from returning when ever that was

And if they did cover it they’d be accused of sensationalizing a story with no national impact, one of over 50 murders every day in the US, only for reasons of “if it bleeds it leads”.

They can’t win. You hate them when they don’t cover it and you hate them when they do cover it. Therefore, my conclusion is that your “media coverage” is “suspect” (a nice way of saying “chuckleheaded”).

Why ? Too much nanny control. This is absurd.

It made page A4 in the local paper, a central Illinois newspaper with a circulation of 22-30K
