I noticed that the entire family of non-financial boards remains open after TMF claims the closed all non-financial boards. Also the financial board titled Retire Early Campfire WAS closed.
So what is really the criteria for board closures?

As they had posted in their notice about shutting them down, they would be available to go back and read old posts. Campfire is there, you just can’t post. Although, it does still have the "notice posted at the top and some of the others don’t. But they are labeled as closed and posting is shut down.

Me thinks they used a dart board...

They eliminated the boards heavily populated by posters who don’t subscribe to their endless, worthless, over-priced “premium services”. Also they eliminated a financial board --the Mutual Funds board-- that no longer served their purposes, now that all of TMF’s mutual funds have been converted to ETFs.
The eliminations weren’t arbitrary. They were merely self-serving.
Hi JohnSki,
These are financial boards. They are the boards for posting questions, thoughts and comments about state-specific financial issues like taxes.
