Lots of chatter going on about Ford’s “employee pricing for everyone” offer. Checked the listing for a US built Escape at a dealer near my home.
My math says that “A Plan” price saves you a princely 6.7% Big, fat, hairy, deal.
Ford is going to bend people so far over they won’t walk straight the rest of the year.

Depends upon one’s economic situation. $2400 is a big sum to some.

On a $30,000+ car? We know how salesmen deal with that: break it down to how much extra per month, or per week, or per day, until it seems trivial.

Plan pricing starts with the invoice price and generally goes down from there.
See Section 6 of:
https://www.myplan.ford.com/myplanweb/jsp/howitworks/myplan_x_rules.htm
The plan’s actual price is listed on the dealer’s invoice. The dealer is required to provide you with a true copy of the factory invoice showing the New Vehicle Purchase Program price on the line labeled AZ-Plan
Yes, those are the official A Plan rules. Once upon a time, I worked for an office furniture dealer, who sold to Ford, so I qualified for Z Plan.
The A Plan price advertised on the screen capture from a local Ford dealer shows the A-Plan price. It really isn’t much off of the sticker.
