For the past couple of months when I make an online purchase there is a “C” that pops up in a little box in the upper right hand corner of my screen. This thing is extremely annoying. It has something to do with coupons or some other phishing routine. All I know is it’s a pain in the a*s and I’d like to get rid of it permanently. Anyone know how to accomplish this?

Yea, the next time I make an online purchase I’ll be happy to. Might take a while though not sure when I’m going to buy something online again. Hang in there.
I would check your browser “add-in” apps. There must be an add-in that is causing this behavior. In the menu option that lists them, you should be able to “manage” them as well, as in “Delete this Add-In” !

- unsure which browser you’re using so can’t give you menu navigation hints.

I found it:

Coupert - Automatic Coupon Finder & Cashback
Coupert automatically finds coupons, applies best coupon code at checkout & gives you cashback.
I should be able to disable it.
What an annoyance. Thanks to all for their input.

Sounds like an extension? See Coupert - Automatic Coupon Finder & Cashback - Chrome Web Store. There should be a menu option somewhere that will show you the installed extensions, and you should then be able to disable it.
You haven’t said which browser you use, but you should be able to remove it through your settings then extensions. HTH…doc
