Years ago, my neighbor bought a Hummer, gas hogs were downers at the time, and the harassment got to him, he traded it off, so I can see the same game, maybe even with all things Tesla before long, worldwide…
Interestingly, so does mine. It’s located at the local mall, so it’s quite visible, and in the several years of the Tesla store (took over a Sears Automotive location) I never saw more than one or two of the sedans in the “waiting line” at any given point.
For the last several months, however, there are at least a dozen cyber trucks lined up, apparently with nowhere to go. I have wondered if they are “stuffing the channel” to make the sales figures appear better, but I also have seen one or two in the wild so at least a few are being sold.
Tesla doesn’t report a vehicle as “sold” until it has been delivered to the end customer. That’s for two reasons:
Here in south Florida, there are cybertrucks all over the place, some artfully wrapped and quite beautiful (I don’t particularly love the stainless steel look on a vehicle). But there are also a few at at each Tesla facility waiting to be sold/delivered. When my daughter picked up her Tesla a few months ago, there were 7 cybertrucks being delivered that day (you can tell because they have a printed page with the name of the person picking up on the dashboard).
