Hate AI generated "slop"?

A browser extension for avoiding AI slop. Download it for Chrome or Firefox.

This is a search tool that will only return content created before ChatGPT’s first public release on November 30, 2022.

Since the public release of ChatGTPT and other large language models, the internet is being increasingly polluted by AI generated text, images and video. This browser extension uses the Google search API to only return content published before Nov 30th, 2022 so you can be sure that it was written or produced by the human hand. [end quote]

Would you do this?

I wouldn’t because it would cut out any research done after that date.

I posted an article on Wikipedia. It was on Google the very next day.

They are telling us much AI info comes from Wikipedia. Wikipedia has deal w Google for Google to help pay cost of servers needed to serve AI customers.

I notice Google can now answer many questions but on historical questions seems to search for key words and weave finings into text.

Typical is finding Jefferson City in Missouri is on the wire road—forerunner of Rt 66 in Missouri. Springfield St Louis Rd later called wire road connected w Jefferson City-St Louis state rd to enter St Louis but Jefferson City is not on the wire road.

Be careful to check AI results for accuracy.

The first thing Google AI needs to discern are the political beliefs of the user. That’s what decides which facts are acceptable. Even Arabic numerals are suspect.
