Not only is this a tremendous hit for Moderna.
It’s also a Macro threat to the population and economy in the event of another pandemic.

Remember what I have been saying, that TPTB figure they can buy anything they want, after it has been developed abroad, at someone else’s expense?
The mRNA Covid vax that Pfizer made was developed by BioNTech, in Germany.
So, TPTB figure, “if someone else is developing the same thing, we don’t need to fund parallel development, so the money can be used to give us another tax cut”.
And, with no need for research in the US, there is no need for educated people. So, defund education, and give that money to the “JCs” too.
To a “JC”, living in abject poverty on $30M a year, putting more money in his pocket is the most important thing. Defund research. Defund education. Defund everything that benefits the Proles. So the money can be given to the “JCs”.
fwiw, I had the BioNTech developed Pfizer jab. Seems to have worked well enough.
It is not the money. It is the ignorance. This costs us more. This decision does not profit us. We can not collect taxes on the decision. The decision is a loser.
If we could collect taxes on the sales that would be a winner. It would offset other taxes.
The successful people I know generally would see this for what it is.
Bird flu vaccine already exists for poultry. Its use is controversial as some countries won’t accept vaccinated poultry imports. And vaccination interferes with tests for the disease.
So far transfer to humans is a worry but few cases reported. May be no hurry.
Presence in mammals like dairy cows and pets implies huge reservoir out there. But also time for humans to develop antibodies.
Seems not to be highly infectious to humans. Not easily transmitted. Health officials worry about what might happen.
Allow me to add that in 2020, the mRNA vaccines were unproven… mostly lab-theoretical.
Covid vaccines were the ‘proof of concept’. The ‘tech’ was scaled up and moved out of the theoretic lab, into mass production.
The response time for future pandemic pathogens will be much shorter.
Yes, there are still hurdles such as ‘is it safe’.
I would suspect that it is not a sinister conspiracy to kill all the Proles. It’s just that they don’t care, because they see Proles as expendable meat. As we saw with the defunding of the agency that does the studies that inform OSHA regulations, their only concern is another tax cut for themselves. If defunding workplace safety activities, to make the money available for another “JC” tax cut gets a few hundred more Proles killed or maimed per year, they don’t care.

I don’t envision such an end of the world scale scenario. Just one where the “JCs” can hop in their private jet to escape whatever local he!! their policies created, or run to Asia or Europe, where the latest vax or treatment has been developed, and buy their way to the head of the line. Meanwhile, the Proles are left to manage as best they can.

Rolling back a protective vaccination program, without anything viable in its place, is omission. Then, when people die from that decision, it’s commission.
