The ability to communicate privately with other users was been turned off when the new board systems were created. That was at the direction of the Motley Fool’s lawyers. It has been discussed many times, both on the free and premium sides. It has many of us quite unhappy, but I think there is zero chance it will ever change.

You can’t. You can post a message here on the public forum, which is a ridiculous solution obviously, but the Fool has chosen that one.
Or you can log on to Shrewdm.com, which is a Fool clone where many have gathered and see if they are on there. If so, direct communication is enabled.

Interesting that many other apps have Direct Messaging options though. Even NextDoor has it. Presumably, lawsuits don’t arise from those apps.
