I’m pretty sure that WTH is saying that your post being taken down is nonsensical. I could be wrong, but I’m guessing that’s the case.
Thanks. We were unaware of this change in policy.
It’s not a policy change, unless it’s universally applied. It’s very arbitrary…thus the confusion.
I am not attacking you or anyone else in this thread or on this board. My reply was posted to the originator of this thread, seconding his question. I am simply stating the logic behind deleting a post addressing a legally available drug and unexpected health impacts that could effect millions makes no sense.
WTH
@CMFMints is going through and closing other off topic threads that are labeled off topic, so this is a brand new policy.
I’ve made the macroeconomic decision to sign up over at Shrewd'm: A Merry and Shrewd Investing Research and Education Community. You can find me there when this board closes.

Thanks for sharing. I love this board! I’m hoping they reconsider the heavy-handed approach to taking down topics and posts.
I am pretty sure I was being sarcastic.
Andy
I’m pretty sure @buynholdisdead post is satire.

Exactly we have all been doing off topic OT posts. The issue is not OT. It is the topic itself is unwanted by the fool. Why the policies exist needs an explanation.
Rational may not be a definable term (for some).
Reiterating
I have had four or five OT threads this month. Two OT threads in the last week.
None of them will be pulled.
Some people are very uncomfortable around discussions on pot. It is a drug.
You do not have conversations on all sorts of things that make people uncomfortable.
For most people heroin is not discussed. For some people the feelings associated with pot are equal to that. Most people misunderstand the people that have that fear of pot. It is not political. It is drug as in pot itself use related for those people.
I do not know who had the reaction.
Those people should have an equal right to those who would not advocate heroin usage or cocaine usage here. Or which prostitute was visited last night. Who wants that freely discussed?
It is civic minded but ignored by most. Some people truly hate pot.
Most find out as teenagers. These boards are open to the public Most parents have the same reactions for their babies.
Some might feed edibles to their children. Others can not fathom that.
Again my OT threads were not pulled simply for being OT.
There was no advocacy in the article in my post that was pulled.
Agreed but the thread took some turns.
The topic of drug usage is a gray area.
I am not against it. But I get how someone or a few people or the staff do not want it.
The boards are open to the public.
On-line casino and sports gambling is now legal in Michigan. The media is constantly flooded with advertising inducing people to throw their money away. And the state gets a cut of every dollar blown, as do “JCs”.
How much do states pocket from alcohol and tobacco taxes?
How much of the state dependence on “sin” taxes is driven by Astroturf pressure to repeatedly cut traditional taxes on property and income?

If it helps
The NY Times is reporting the Pope can not say what he wants either.
What does it mean when the Pope is silenced?
A Miracle? A prophesy?
