Inside TSMC, the chipmaking giant

This article at CNBC is 4 months old, somewhat lengthy, is still current, and does a good job of thoroughly summarizing Taiwan Semiconductor’s profile and bent.

TSM is by far the #1 contract fab on Earth. Heavy supplier to Apple, Qualcomm, Nvidia, etc. More recently: Intel.

Given the ongoing severe semi shortage plaguing everything from cars to consumer electronics, the information is useful for investors.

They are a foundry not a fab. Intel profit wise is in the same proximity on the bottom line.
