ISO Dividend Investing recs

I am at a point in life where I’d like to move some assets into dividend paying companies.
I’d love to hear your recommendations. I’m looking for a yield above about 2.5%, long-term history of payout and the usual things. What I’m really looking for though is companies that might be considered “value” stocks at current prices. With the market moving to defensive stocks, prices are up for a lot of dividend aristocrats.
I’d love to hear your ideas, no idea too obvious!

I already hold JNJ, General Mills, PNG, WEC, DUK, WM, KO, V, COP, AEP, and I’m looking at Bristol-Myers Squibb (own some already), INTC, PEP and sort of working my way through the aristocrat list seeing what I think of the prospects of each.
Thanks!

You can go here and download the Dividend Radar spreadsheet. It is updated every Friday. Has stocks broken down into 3 groups depending on how long they have been paying and increasing their dividends. IIRC, 20 years, 10 years, and 5 years. It has a lot of other data too but does have a valuation assessment.

Thanks JLC, that is a great link!

If companies paying long term dividends that grow at least at the rate of inflation is what you seek, then dividend history will be a good screen. But what are the trends in company cash flows the company pays the dividend with? This requires taking the time to use the financial statements to dig deeper. It’s not that difficult, but it does take time and study.

Take a look at my book where I go into this.

If you would consider holding an ETF, SCHD is a pretty high quality one and meets the same criteria.
