11/10 Had seen the mention by broker Intermodal last week, but said – since the data on LNG shipping is scarce, – ok, data point. Unlike the conventional tanker market, my understanding is, the spot market on the LNG shipping segment is not significant - maybe 5% - 10%. I think most of the Steam turbine propulsion vessels have likely exited the market. If there are plans for LNG bunkering, those vessels might work for storage.
While $49K is a lot better than $20K, an LNG tanker owner better not have too many LNG tankers trading spot
