stated that AMZN DB offering will only include about 1/3 of features present in V3.6 of Mongo software. They were pretty strong and said this 2 times.

Mongo also said that they’re doing a thorough analysis of DocumentDB vs their own DB and want anyone and everyone to test their analysis once they’ve finished, which will be soon.
I think that they absolutely nailed it during their presentation which can be summarised in my words as:
“Microsoft tried to take us on via emulation and failed, and now Amazon are trying to take us on via emulation and will also fail.
The best news is that their attempts will bring a higher level of interest in our product.”
