Mexico has had problems with US-made high-end weapons getting into the country and ending up with the cartels. Which means Mexico can demand the US *prevent those weapons from leaving the US"–you know, the “remain in US” law already in place in Mexico. NOT Mexico’s problem to stop the illegal export. They can start shipping lots of migrants to the US for each illegal weapon found in Mexico that was made and sold in the US and illegally sent to Mexico. It is a valid point by Mexico. The US govt COULD reduce those problems if it chose to do so–the same way the “remain in Mexico” requirement was imposed by the US on Mexico.
