Correct… I’ve “heard” of them, not anything I ever listed to, seriously.
You’re missing some great music.
AC jes sayin’
I know… but I already missed a bunch of great stuff. Motzart, Haydn and Beethoven… just to name a few. Then we have the groups from “down south”, which I enjoyed. Molly Hatchet, Alabama, ect… and the list goes on.

I don’t think I’ve heard of Motzart. ;0D
I get it. But my music tastes run from Opera to alternative rock. There was some great music with the “Seattle sound.” Have you visited the EMP? You might enjoy it.

No, I've/we've not been to the EMP. I really restrict myself from the "big city" anymore. Never happy driving in that cr@p... never have been, in retrospect. But I digress...
My music is quite diverse. Currently still have over 500 rounds of vinyl (*lost over 1000 albums to theft, back in the 90's*) and a ton of CD's... most of which has been digitized and sits in a few places: 'puter, phone, a couple of thumb drives and CD's/DVD's. I think it adds up to ~16G of stuff I've accumulated/digitized over the years. Even using them as sounds/reminders/ring tones on my phone. Amazing what tech can do these days. I awake, daily, to "Comfortably Numb"... (o:
I agree with you on "*music I don't like*", that's on my list. Along with C&W (*now just C*), rap and anything that "sounds like cr@p".

I understand but if you get an opportunity once the pandemic is over, I highly recommend it. I spent 3 or 4 hours there, but I could have stayed longer. They had this theater that was a film loop of all the greatest guitar players. Could have sat their for hours.

I afraid that would lull me back to sleep. ;0)

I like the old C&W, even the Nashville sound (luv me some Patsy Cline). I also like pickers - Scruggs, Stanley Brothers, Ricky Skaggs. I even liked Steve Martin joining up with the Steep Canyon Rangers. The new country music is not country. It’s some kind of pop derivative. You can’t just add a fiddle or mandolin or banjo and make it country.
As far as rap, I like some of it. I just don’t like the belligerent/violent stuff. I understand the anger behind it, but it’s not my cup of tea.

Thank you...
If I made an event of the EMP, something else would need to be involved. I rarely go somewhere for "one item/event". You remember... the "multiple birds, one stone" thing.
These days my "music" involves FM radio. Found a good R&R station that has a good/strong signal. Comes out of Vancouver WA... ~50+mi away, of all places. I did discover that heavy rain and snow can hamper the signal, where I am. But I like the fact that I never know the playlist, but the gendre is there. Does anyone do this anymore? ...other than on radio?

I use iHeart radio for free. Just enter an artist and it creates a playlist. The free status the commercials are annoying but it’s no different than regular radio. I’m currently on a Blondie, The Cars, and Talking Heads kick but that was high school for me. It also throws in Van Halen, Styx, and ELO. When I’m working and proofreading I switch to Chopin or Beethoven.

Nice... interesting way to use artists to enhance(?) your work.
