President Donald Trump recently claimed his push for the United States to take over Greenland is widely supported by that country’s residents. But a brand new poll shows otherwise.
According to a poll published by Danish outlet Berlingske and Greenland outlet Sermitsiaq (via CBS), a whopping 85 percent of Greenland residents say they do not want to become part of the United States. Just 6 percent are in favor of joining the U.S., while another 9 percent are undecided.
The data runs counter to Trump’s public statements insisting the country’s citizens want to be part of the United States.

What is the import tariff on Greenland? How many cases can they get into the states before the tariff?

I’ve been off Motley Fool for a while and I’m surprised this new braindead A/I censor allows the word “crap.”
One Idea for Trump to consider:
why not annex Nunavut, the N-W territories and Yukon instead or in addition to Greenland?
If Canada do not want to become the 51st state of the USA, Trump could give Canada a choice and make a beautiful deal with Canada for its Artic provinces and territory. The US could buy the land from Canada or pay its inhabitants like it would do for Greenland.
Sure, and give up access to the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, and make them entirely dependent on routing all trade through the US. Good plan, because, you know, we’re such reliable partners.

but Canada is already pretty much dependent on the US for trade. The infrastructure has been geared in this way. Like it or not, Canad has been hitched to the US for a very long time, and trying to unhitch would be disastrous for Canada.
I am not so sure. They are already trying to get oil deals with Europe.
sure why not trade with China? For ideological reasons, that cannot be just like some think the US must support Ukraine no matter what.
But who knows? a canadian Trump may come and Make Canada Great Again?
There is one running right now but he isn’t doing to well after Trump attacked Canada. It looks like Trump drove them back to the left.
