NVMe

From Gartner -

NVMe will be (if it isnt already!) a fundamental part of your infrastructure stack moving forward.

However, today’s storage designs (SAN/DAS) have proven costly and inefficient, limiting the potential parallelism and performance the technology can provide. It’s like putting Pirellis on a Prius. With the ever-increasing amounts of data ingested, companies have started implementing an emerging architecture that provides orders of magnitude better performance, scale and economics.

Gartner recently recommended Pavilion Data’s NVME-oF architecture that delivers the true performance of NVMe to the application, but with the density to fit in a rack-scale environment.

Not sure of the implications in relation to HCI and PSTG, but thought some of you might find this interesting.
