I’ve been doing this since I retired 30 years ago. I go to sleep when I’m tired and get up when I’m well rested.

I didn’t go to bed on Sunday evening until 5:30 AM Monday morning and I slept until 1 PM in the afternoon. {{ LOL }}

I always laugh at headlines like this. They can always be pared down to 2: 1 - get your rear end off the couch and move and 2 - eat less processed garbage.

  1. Sleep well.
  2. Socialize with actual human beings.
  3. Get hearing aids if you are losing your hearing.
  4. Get a tune up! (i.e. if you have a health problem get it taken care of right away instead of letting it do more damage.)

Yeah. That list is way more diverse than just “move n eat right”.

  1. Have an SO with whom you can share intimate moments. Be intentional about intimacy.

  2. Meditate, intentionally de-stress.

  3. Intentionally don’t sweat the small stuff.

  1. Intentionally breath. Deep, diaphragm belly breaths.

  2. Intentionally have routines and rituals. Especially that involve other humans.

  3. Intentionally be curious.

Social dancing is one of the best ways to accomplish many of these goals, and typically, social dancing is dying.
