I probably won’t be online for a while since I’m having cataract surgery on my left eye today. Right eye next Wednesday.
But I don’t know for sure how my vision will be over the next few weeks.

Best wishes, Wendy. You’ll be glad you did it. If you need glasses will take a while but implants are so good probably not required.
In my case Dr gave me prescription for bifocals I had always worn. Glasses place noticed prescription was the same for both eyes. Very unusual. Glasses were window pane w reading glasses in the lower lens. I no longer wear glasses and can read signs and speedometer w no trouble. Still wear reading glasses. I find I can read faster w reading glasses.
My wife had cataract surgery close to 15 years ago. Early cataracts run in her family, obviously had to rule out a 1/2 dozen medical causes. Got her home and put to bed to rest for awhile. Wakes up and turns on the TV and she goes wow, so that’s what the fuss about HD television is about. So maybe for you, you get to see what 4K video streaming is all about.
I’m guessing you will enjoy the results of your surgery. Cataract surgery was the best surgery I ever had. No problem seeing and finding the ball. Good luck.
Good luck, I hope you recover quickly.
Mine will be done at age 65 or 66.
We are lucky. We are younger and will heal faster and enjoy good vision for the rest of our lives.
Best wishes for a full recovery!
Don’t they typically wait for one eye to heal before doing the other one ???
I’d want to be pain-free and 20/20 before letting them touch the right eye.
But good luck with the procedure.

Cataract surgery is simple and easy to recover from. I did one eye one about a month before the other eye 16 years ago. My brother had both eyes done at same time about 8 years ago. No problems for either of us.
One week is generally enough time between eyes. Not much pain if any, especially since they’ve gone to the sutureless procedure. Until the suture dissolved some would complain of a scratchy feeling.
The main reason you don’t do both at the same time is in case of a sterilization failure. Worst case scenario, get a bad enough infection in one eye you lose sight in one eye. Don’t want it happening in both eyes simultaneously.
I’m glad I had a month between eyes, although two weeks would have been enough. My procedure called for three sets of drops in different timeframes (one for a week, two for two weeks, one 3x/day, two 2x/day) so having both would have removed doing it all twice, but I found that I needed a little adjustment time after the surgery and appreciated the break between surgeries.

Interesting stuff for me. I will be up to bat soon enough.
