Today, and for the past 30 years, Black Americans on average have reached significantly lower education levels by high school. By all objective measures including the SAT and other standardized tests, Black student are on average much less prepared for college than other groups. This is primarily due to poverty and prejudice. It is not the fault of poor Black students, but it is nevertheless factual and is something Affirmative Action is not designed to deal with.

And yet your chart yesterday about Duke showed the average GPA for African Americans graduating was a B+, while the average of the other groups at times rose to an A-.

We are not always talking poor black anything. Again 60% of African Americans are middle class.

You do not know how AA works it is designed to deal with this. The rules are that only qualified applicants by percentage of the population group can have the benefit of AA. That is why African Americans are over represented in Harvard. That is why there is an objection.
