I have accounts with Fidelity and Schwab, have not been able to log in to either account, anybody else having trouble ?
Schwab finally posted message that they are having technical issues, but Fido has not posted that message.
I know the markets are down 3-4% or so, so they might be getting overwhelmed with traffic.
Just tried both since I’m a dual customer. No problem with Fidelity, but Schwab is hosed. As you suggest, I’m also guessing the wild point drops indicate mucho sell-offs and therefore log-ins to a considerable number of accounts.
No problem with Merrill. I had been underwhelmed by Stryker lately, but didn’t want to pay tax on the gains. Fortunately, my MSFT, which I sold in the IRA and rebought in the cash account last month, and Stride, had just enough loss, to offset the gain on a bit of the Stryker.
Holding the oils in the IRA. Sometimes, magical things happen to juice oil prices just before Labor Day, which is why I reopened the positions a couple weeks ago.
No problems with Schwab. Logged in prior to the market opening and have stayed logged in (sometimes Schwab has disconnected me when my computer has been idle for some time)
