Hiring back the people that DOGE laid off, that is. If I wanted to maximize government waste and inefficiency I’d operate exactly the way DOGE does.

I have a niece who worked for 20 years at the FDA, she was dumped months ago although she just got the official letter a couple weeks ago. Meanwhile she continued to collect a paycheck for all those months for sitting at home, and now gets some amount of severance. (I didn’t ask how much.) Talk about waste!
Meanwhile drug testing has been reduced to almost nothing, so be careful what you put in your mouth, although I’m sure RFKJr will tell you everything is great, great, really great.

I’m leery about this. Word on the street is that ICE is running into some issues with their hiring bonanza. They’re reassigning FEMA employees to fill some gaps -
Watch out NWS candidates, you might get shanghaied into ICE!
Tip for NWS candidates - interview questions about the following are red flags that you’ll be quickly reassigned from NWS to ICE:
- How to profile immigrants
- Chokeholds
- Tasing people
- Breaking car windows
- Your moral flexibility

Met a fellow cyclist on a trip recently. He’s a civvy engineer working for USAF. Was going to retire in June, but got the email from Doge and he opted to “stay on” till September. Gets full pay as long as he does NO WORK and does not show up. Then can retire in September.
That’s efficiency!

I have read that FEMA money is being used to build concentration camps, instead of disaster preparedness. Makes sense that FEMA staff would be seconded to ICE too.
How about “are you of sound Aryan stock?”
