I’ve set myself the task of updating my web presence. The Software Times code is so antiquated that it’s pretty much hopeless to update the site which has hundreds of essays in various formats. Instead I’m making use of the domain name captainccs.com as a catch all for the various apps I’m trying to bring online. The first fully functional one was ARK Invest, formerly “The Captain’ ARK.”
Today I brought up to date The Market Game which shows how a perfectly level playing field gives rise to a Pareto or Power Law Distribution. It also illustrates Kelly’s Strategy. I’m quite proud of the “Time Lapse” presentation I managed to create. The artwork is kind of primitive but I’m no designer!

The Captain
What I’m enjoying the most from working with Object Oriented code is that it’s easy to keep it organized and lots of the code is highly reusable. Two great tools for developing on Mac are the text editor BBEdit and the ftp client Fetch.
