PINS

For a few of us that are still in PINS, they had a strong quarter

Revenue rose by 58% to $443M
EBITDA rose to 93m prior year was 3.9m
Monthly active users increased by 37%
Expecting Q4 revenue to grow by 60%

Stock up 14% in AH trading.

Fellow PINS long here, don’t understand the +31% post-market gain here, but I take it. I would guess this sells off tomorrow.

Although the surrounding conditions are looking very bleak, what with lockdowns making a return in Europe (at least france national lockdown and other european countries quickly moving towards that).

Pinterest just guided for 60% Q4 growth, a big acceleration from where they were just 2 quarters ago.

If their forward guidance is 60%+, they are seeing some major multiple expansion and getting in line with SNAP’s TTM EV/S multiple of 28-30. MAUs and ARPU are way up and US ARPU especially looks amazing.

Hi RevTK,

Would you mind sharing your opinions on PINS?

It has been in my watchlist for so long and was considering taking a position today until I decided to postpone it until tonight’s EC.

I’ve heard people bullish about the company but do you think the growth trend is temporary?

It’s because they are guiding for +60% rev for Q4, surpassing what they just put up. I am long PINS and am gladden I added some last week. The Covid companies will keep growing, especially with cases increasing. I work in the medical field and have been saying since May that this fall/winter will be worse than the entire year. I fully expect all the stay at home stocks to keep soaring, especially ZM. I firmly believe the companies that used ZM earlier in the year as a short term solution to the lockdowns will now be adopting it and making it a permanent part of their operations. I will be using the next couple weeks to buy more of these companies.

I have a position, I bought after TMF recommendation as well . Those are some of my thoughts why I bought

  1. As stated in TMF recommendation, they promote a more positive experience comparing with FB and Twitter
  2. The future of e-commerce is more a social commerce, now they are driving traffic to both SHOP and Esty, with future of video or vR , it is even more powerful in terms of ads spend ROI
  3. As TMF indicated , they have been busying acquiring more users, just recently start focusing on monetizing, so some changes in terms of earning was hinted

Still have to keep watching the revenue generation ,other than ads, if there is any other new way s of revenue generating
