The broader market Fear and Greed indicator shows we are no where near those lows. I believe the low during that time was 19.

Mild fear.
However, if you look at the underlying constituents of the FnG “index”, you’ll note that they are exceptionally polarized. Showing extreme greed and extreme fear at the same time for individual indicators.
I suggest we are in a state of market chaos at the moment and that indicators should be looked upon very critically.

I noted that this past week too.
Very mixed indicators. Makes me question the usefulness of that overall gauge to growth stocks in a prolonged drawdown like this.
If I get the chance over the weekend, I may point out some of the macro folks I like, and what some have said they use as indicators. Short story is that this may or may not be a bottom, but we didn’t exactly puke like we did in 2018 and 2020. Yet.

My low today finally dropped below my 52 weeks LOW from March 2020 (by -1.76%).
This drawdown one feels more pukey as it’s a bigger drop for me in terms of real $$$ but I’m also back to where I was 10 months ago in terms of $$$ in the account (I haven’t added any new cash).
