Unfortunately as I drive only ~8,000 miles a year it won’t have much impact on my cost of living.
Diesel gas $3.45 here is the cheapest for all cash price.
I pay 9 cents a kilowatt hour for electricity and a gallon of gas at the station on the corner is $3.83.
That means my Tesla Model Y SUV can travel 128 miles for the price of a gallon of Unleaded Regular – and 128 miles is about my average monthly driving (i.e. 1,500 miles per year)

Gas pricing for us and our Toy Hybrid, have become insignificant, at 40 mpg, maybe a 10g fill, even at Costco’s $4.899, maybe once a month, no problem…
My F150 5.4L gasser, 38 gallon tank, is pricy, but even then, only 770 miles, of a full year, to where I added a solar panel to keep the battery charged, is it would die just on the small trickle of alarm, locks, whatever…
This is NorCal, Standard gas prices have always been 50 cents more than Costco, but retired, less driving, never any serious concerns… While working, I either had a subsidy, or later a company CC…
