The RENIXX (Renewable Energy Industrial Index) is the first global stock index for the renewable-energy industry and was designed by the IWR, a renewable energy institute, in 2005-2006. The RENIXX World was launched on 1 May 2006, standing at 1,000 points at the beginning of 2002. A reverse projection was made for the RENIXX up to 2 January 2002.
Now, almost a quarter century later, the index stands at 1004. That’s a compound annual growth rate of less than 0.02%. 
But wait! There has been 24-25 years of inflation, so the renewable index is actually down some 75%.
